WW2 British Minifigure (Desert)
During the Second World War the British Army fought in numerous theatres and terrain around the globe. Those stationed in the deserts of Eastern and Northern Africa, Mediterranean, or the Middle East wore uniforms that were suited for the hot and arid climate. Khaki drill shorts were more comfortable and cooler than trousers, and khaki drill shirts were more practical, if not as smart, as tunics. High woollen socks with puttees were a common sight in the desert, and the ubiquitous webbing and Brodie helmet were often a colour more in keeping with the surroundings.
